The service is more personal at Altus than when you’re dealing with large companies. Rod and his team were always good at following up and being proactive.

Rod was on top of it at all times and he gave me good advice. When it came time to retire, Rod advised me through this and it was an easy transition. All the right steps were done appropriately, professionally and quickly.

Altus works very hard to understand what you want and there’s good documentation and processes around your goal setting. They’re very responsive and they don’t push particular investment products. They present various options to me. If I come in with options, they’ll research these for me too. The communication is very good and I’ve come to rely on them very heavily in terms of what they’re recommending.

We sat down together and built goals for me to achieve. We looked at growth strategies, balanced approaches and defensive strategies and we agreed on the best strategy.

Altus helped me achieve my goals of retirement. They achieved this by having good people and by clearly understanding what my needs were. I have a certain lifestyle and Altus understands and recognises it.

Rod helped facilitate my plan for my estate and determine my wishes and put it all in place. I even nominated Rod as one of the executors of my will. I did this because he truly understands exactly what my thinking is and what my intentions are.
